On Wednesday, 29th April 2026, selected Year 7 and Year 8 students will participate in the UKMT Junior Maths Challenge, a nationally recognised competition designed to inspire and challenge young mathematicians.

What is the Challenge?
Students will complete 25 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, requiring them to apply their classroom learning to unfamiliar and thought-provoking problems. The challenge promotes logical reasoning, problem-solving, and creative thinking in mathematics.

Why is it Important?
The UKMT awards Gold, Silver, and Bronze certificates to top-performing students, celebrating exceptional mathematical ability. These awards are highly regarded and provide recognition for students who demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills.
