
On Wednesday, 28th January 2026, selected Year 9 and Year 10 students will take part in the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge, a prestigious national competition designed to stretch and inspire young mathematicians.
What is the Challenge?
Students will tackle 25 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, testing their ability to apply classroom learning to unfamiliar and challenging problems. This competition encourages logical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity in mathematics.
Why is it Important?
The UKMT awards Gold, Silver, and Bronze certificates to top-performing students, recognising exceptional mathematical aptitude. Achieving these awards is a significant accomplishment and can support future academic opportunities.
